The little one in the front far left was the one that pipped/hatched at the wrong end. It is also the smallest of the group.


And what color? Blue fawn?


What color? Butterscotch?

Well, one hatch done, hatcher sanitized, new eggs in lockdown. I have three welsh harlequin eggs and a silkie egg that I'm not optimistic about. One of the wh's pipped after being in ld for about two hours. Impatient little booger!

Status quo still holding - 6 of 6 call ducks= nothin but 8 of 8 saxony going strong.

Tmorrow is day 28 for the Rouen eggs. I do see wiggles every now and again. Day 28 for the guineas will be Wed and one of the Guinea eggs is shaking almost constantly. Boy these last couple days are going to drag out.

Well, I think I have 3 out of 8 Call eggs heading for lockdown...hard to tell. They are due to hatch 26-27th. I did have a Call hen go broody so I gave her 6 eggs yesterday...I'm sure she will do a better job than me.

I have a single silkie duck egg going to lockdown on Monday.

I'm doing a test run on my Hercules Hatcher before I try a full hatch with it. The eggs go in that hatcher on Wednesday.
