Duck hatch help please

Again, thank you all so much! One last question. I know everyone is most likely getting ready for bed.. Do I leave the wet papertowel under him? Is it OK if he hatches in the night onto it? I just wanted to double check.

Don't apologize, no need for that when you're asking questions... and btw, I'm up super late at night, lol... holler anytime if you need to
..

As for the papertowel, I would pull it... it will actually give it a chill and since you used vaseline to moisten the membrane, there's no worries there...

This is the only way I might catch some sleep lol..

For some reason it will not upload my pics :( He's still about the same.. some veins now look almost white, but he hasn't moved positions at all. Poor baby has been working so hard!

Hmm so weird that pictures won't work now! No head out yet.. it appears something is stuck beside of his beak, but hard to say what..

Could be a leg, but likely a wing. Their normal position in the shell is head under wing.

I had to assist this chick this morning. She zipped about a third of the way around and stopped. I'm not sure what happened, I woke up and it was partially zipped, but the membrane was dry and brown. Somehow she had gotten her foot above her head. They are balled up in there pretty good!
Once I pulled this much shell off, she wiggled out within a few minutes.

Still a little unabsorbed spot, but looked much better by the time I left my house.

I got one to attach from my laptop :) Any tips on what to do next...All of the veins in the opened area are gone, but when I peeled a little more back at the top I can see some small ones..
