Duck Incubation time.. (first timers)

Pics
Ohh goody i came at the right time. I started my incubation (onday 14 now) with around ~48% humidity (aiming for 30-40, couldnt quite nail it) and my air cells are lookin a little small.i have it at 35% now and am gonna do dry incubation until lockdown. This is the example im following View attachment 1275825

And this is what ive got (call duck)

So should i mist? Ive heard that helps. I was planning on doing that before lockdown only, but now i really wanna get these air cells up to par. I think my ducks coat their eggs realllly well, i dont wash.

I would mist or wipe with a wet sponge... wet sponge wears down the waxy coating better for optimal results... just make sure you don't get water pooling anywhere from misting/sponging...

ETA: excellent article you referenced, btw! :D :thumbsup

I'm so excited for you! Congrats on the those already hatched and those yet to hatch!

I did candle my 8 Ancona eggs today and all are fertile! These were shipped from NC to OK, so I am thrilled. ;)
