Duck issue please help

Well we’ll all be
Pulling for her. Glad to hear she’s otherwise doing well. It’s kinda scary to look at but so? It may take a lot of dedication to treat her I’m
Happy you’re going to give it a chance. Personally I would love to see updates on her. Her condition fascinated me I guess because when I was younger I worked for a vet and I was the one giving treatments to a little Boston Terrier....anyways you might want to put away the kiddy pool OR allow her time in the water then treat her skin and put the pool away.
Best wishes. Keep us posted
Yes this is a very interesting and sad case. Not one that I thought I would be posting about. I have a team of poultry vets going wow too. I will give her a shot because she is such a great pet but don’t want her to suffer either.

Not sure how you plan to apply the ivermectin, but I had success with chicken leg mites by mixing the ivermectin pour-on in a plastic baggie with a spoonful of Vaseline. Just squish it together, it doesn’t really mix. But helped me with application.
Thank you for that. I’m gonna try that. I want her to feel better:(

What she use to look like:( I don’t want people to think I neglect her because I
Don’t. I love her

Yes bought ivermectin and some other topical poultry ointment. Hope for the best. She is very active, social and eating and drinking. I will try the treatment and if I don’t see improvement in 3 days then I will put her down.
Give her more than three days. All of the information I found says that it will take several ivermectin treatments.

Edited to add:
"The suggested ivermectin dosing regimen is 200 to 400 μg/kg given orally or topically for two to three treatments at 10-day intervals. For most species, give 200 μg/kg, and repeat in 10 to 14 days. Canaries usually require a longer treatment period than budgerigars do; three to six treatments are often needed before resolution is achieved. "
