I don't know yet, this the first year I've had them. Mine hatched in August so they aren't laying yet.Elly do the khakis lay over winter?
For hand raised ducks they are certainly scared of man. Here's my pekin and runners, 2 months old. How much bigger can they get?!?View attachment 1948826 View attachment 1948827
I have quite a few hens. I have not heard any drake noises but I have a couple that still sound like babiesThey are growing into lovely big ducks! Have you figured out how many drakes and hens you have yet?
Daphne you might have to fly internationally and spend summer hereGuess which Muscovy hen decided that now was a good time to drop all of her feathers? The one who has the hardest time with the cold. The one who is going to be the saddest duck of all tomorrow night when it’s 40 degrees colder than tonight, that’s who. *Picture taken before her molt* Btw, her sister, who had molted most of her feathers more than a month ago, decided to keep her company and suddenly dropped all of her flight feathers. Daphne better be ready to cuddle with them tomorrow night!
