Alright, is their a reason it needs to be warm?

Salt mixes better in warm water plus helps soften skin better and helps with swelling if nice an warm. Yes beautiful lavender Orp. I have had 3 since I started with chickens they are sure great birds.

Keep him from seeing his brother for now. Or put them both where they can be together but where neither can go to the water. In other words brother can’t waddle off an leave him.

I use a bucket mix up the Warm water and ES then sit the duck down in feet first and hold onto him so he doesn’t jump out. I have even draped a towel around his shoulders head out to hold him in. (I use the term shoulders lightly) lol

I'm using a tote, he keeps drinking the water.. will he be ok? I want to keep him in until I could get the scab off, how do I get whatever is in the foot out?

The Epsom salt water can cause watery poop and make him dehydrated. After you get the scab off post a picture so we can see what your looking at I have dug the core out with tweezers
