So happy! This year we had Indian runner eggs send over from Germany; and we kept 1 black drake. He went to his first show (and our first). I was interested in what proffesionals had to say about him. I thought he was fine; legs a tad too light, and bill too green. He actually got a great score! A 96! Bill no problem!
IF... I had managed to wash him properly. We are re-building and do not have an inside closed off coop atm. I had to bring him in wednesday really early; it rained that night he got totally muddy...and on that morning the ride had problems and had to fix an other ride at the last moment :O So a quick wash it was.. lost 2 points by it :'( So it was 94. Which landed him the 2nd place

I was already scared that he would be too muddy; turns out; all other Indian runner ducks owners had the same muddy duck problem haha!
But more important; what the proffessional said about him perfectly matches his black mate from germany with a score of 96 we have from another line (we did not bring her to the show because she lost a nail). Her BEST points are her really black legs.. so good chance they combined give great ducks!
For the rest it was awesome. Met some Dutch, German, Austrian and Italian breeders, and ALL those animals.. doves, rabbits, chickens, alpaca's, hamsters, snakes.. pfff. I have seen atleast 15 breeds I NEEEED in the future

Modern English fighting hens, Toulouse geese, forgot-the-name-all-black-chickens (saymin?), hookbilled ducks, German pekin ducks (wow they are so big IRL!) blablabla etc.
