In the Brooder
We live in north central Arizona, 4200 feet altitude. Have five Magpie hen ducks and two Buff, one drake and one female duck. All quit laying last September 2017 and no eggs for 4+ months. We changed diet, searched for something that might be disturbing their fenced coop, cleaned coop more often. Nothing worked to get them laying. In mid-February 2018 they started laying again----5+ months after they quit. What did it? Rain. We finally got rain after 5 months of near nothing but a few sprinkles. Whew! These ducks are only 3 years old so this was driving us nuts. Rain. The climate. That was the answer.
