Duck Pond/pool pictures

Love this and want to build one. can u tell me how expensive it was to build and it the underground filtration works? My ducks can be messy!!
I thnk this one was for me?! The pond (650 gallons-ish) was built for us at cost but still was expensive ... retail this would likely be around $5,000 for the pond and a $2,500-$3,000 for the deck / patio area. The filtration seems to work great and we have a bottom filter that draws about 1000 gallons an hour and the top skimmer draws about 4000 gallons per hour. I have to clean the filters in and the two water falls each weekend (takes about 30 minutes) and we add MicorbeLift to the pond weekly as this sets up a bird safe microbe environment to help decompose their gifts! We only have the two Pekin females.

Got some really crappy news about my wifes Breast Cancer this week so we completed the patio and added the lighting ... I know they babies are spoiled but I guess that is a good thing!

Sorry to hear about the bad news. I hope you and your wife are able to relax and get comfortable out by this beautiful pond.

We keep ours double protected from preditors. I'm really paranoid about loosing them. They have an inner run and an outer run - that's covered by deer netting and tarps. Here are pics to give you an idea of what is working for us!

You can see my duck house on the right side - it's just a dog house. (The chicken coop is the longer one on the left) We keep our chickens and ducks locked in this 10x10 dog run at night. Lock them up at sunset and let them out in the morning. This kennel is surrounded by their entire run that they get full access too during the day:

I love this idea!! Do the chickens have perches inside the dog house or do they just nest on the floor? I have a kennel I have been wanting to use for my Mill Fluers.
