Duck sneezing

I've never heard of it but that doesn't mean it couldn't happen, Is the bedding real dusty?
No not really, about normal.

They also haven’t been able to take a “real bath in their pool” for several weeks because we have the water turned off outside.

The last few days I have not let them out to hunt because I have seen a fox in our yard the last couple days. One time I saw it out in the morning when I normally go out to feed the birds.

Are they inside fencing? as for wondering if the shavings could be causing the trouble you could always change their bedding to something else and see if it makes a difference, in other words, elimination is one way to see?
Oh boy, your going to have to find a way to discourage that fox from coming around you can't keep your ducks locked up in the coop forever. And since he now knows they are there he isn't going to leave on his own.

They have a pretty safe covered pen that they are in every day, but when I do the chores in the morning I normally let them out to play in their pool and hunt on our
2 1/2 acres. How do I discourage the fox? I only saw him 2 times but that doesn’t mean he’s not still around

Today, I spent some time cleaning out old wet straw from their cover pen and sprayed off their plastic patio that had messes all over it.

Well you can borrow or buy a live trap TSC has them and catch the fox and haul him off far away. Or you could kill him. Just my opinion but I would rather do the first rec. They are only doing what they are supposed to do looking for food for themselves and their young. It's our responsibility to protect our ducks etc. We have a lot of different predators and the only way I can keep my flock alive is with fencing. I have lost some of my chickens over the years because they thought it would be fun to fly out of the fencing and run around in the woods . Thank the Lord I have never lost a duck or goose to a predator. But I know it can happen even with fencing but it really does make it harder.
I guarantee that fox is still around and probably more of them plus so many other predators. If you have no other alternative I'd keep them penned.
Hopefully cleaning out the pen and cleaning it out real good will help.

You are right the fox is still around… I was out at the coop about 2:30pm and saw him down in the woods watching me. I’m not sure if it is legal to relocate foxes in Kansas, any idea who I could talk to? Would it be the local game warden? Thanks

Also last night we had to shoot an injured possum that was by the coops, I’m wondering if maybe the fox had gotten him… he had a wound on his back and was not acting right.

I'm sorry about the possum it could be the fox did attack him. I'd say contact your local game warden and see what they have to say. They may help you trap it.

That Fox knows there is something good to eat at your homestead and will probably hang around waiting for the opportunity.

Ok, I will contact them tomorrow. Thanks

Also the girls are done with their 10 day treatment and are still sneezing… do I continue the treatment longer or change to something else?

Try some ACV with mother in their drinking water. 1-2 Tabs to a gallon. Is their feed real dusty? How are they acting? Do they have a good appetite? Any discharge from eyes or nares?

Ok, I do wet feed so no it’s not dusty. They have a pretty good appetite. They are still sneezing and shaking but no discharge from eyes or nares today
