Way to go Igor
I have been on the road the last two days and I just got caught up. Good job Destiny and way to go Igor! This is not typical of most of the bumble foot you see on BYC since the wound/scab was so small so it is an excellent reference for others. Many will benefit from your words and pictures. Thank you!
Thank you Tony! I looked at a lot of threads on Bumblefoot, but I didn't see any ducks with it as bad as Igor's. I asked the Veterinarian if she has seen worse, and she said yes. I also asked her what would happen if you didn't do anything about the Bumblefoot, and she said that the infection would spread, and it would start eating at the bone. So it can get pretty nasty.
How bad do you think Igor's was?
4 or 5?
Sounds about right. Is Bumblefoot the same in both ducks and chickens?
Google "avian medicine bumblefoot" or "grade 7 bumblefoot".
