Hey guys. Update for yesterday. She's doing slightly better, putting more weight on her feet, standing for a few seconds to beat her wings. It's been a week so I was wondering what your guys prognosis is. Do you think she'll make a full recovery based on your experience? I just wish she was well, I hate to see her sit around. I've got another :ththat's been limping. I actually caught that one really early and pulled out the bumble before signs of infection but now it is swollen and painful. :barnie Looking for a friend lol

The swelling has gone done a little bit... I've been doing daily water soaks and oregano salve. Did you take a look at the updates? I was wondering what you guys thought about her breathing/respiratory issues.

Her breathing sounds just like my gal Miss Hope, I have been to the vet numerous times and what i think sounds like congestion the vet has reassured me that it is normal breathing and her lungs are good and strong. i don't think you have anything to worry about.

I am not sure about a full recovery, my feet issues have all been cut into and removed.

I currently have my male and the same female with limping issues. but this up in the ankle joint. It could be soft tissue damage from fleeing/chasing to mate. no puncture holes and just swelling and limping. we go to the vet next week so....i shall see what comes of this.

Is yours hot to the touch?

Ok, should be good then. Her foot is slightly warm to the touch. I'm worried about her one toe on her bad foot which looks dead... she doesn't spread her webbed feet on that side. She is starting to stand for a little longer and walked one or two steps when I placed her into the coop. Video and pictures forthcoming

If you are worried about her having an infection in the joint, the only treatment is antibiotics. You should be able to find these at a decent price at your local feed store or online. We can help you with what to get if you have questions. You could try to segregate her so you can eat the eggs of the other females. But I know of another BYCer who waited too long and her Pekin died. And we definitely don’t want that for her. If you have additional concerns let us know and we can go through them with you.

Oh that's terrible @CayugaJana ... it's a tough decision, but definitely one I've been considering. I'm worried I'm too late already; but she seems to be improving. Could you link the thread you mentioned if there is one? Also, is there any guarantee that antibiotics will solve the issue?
