Someone please help me soon so the short version is my duckling hatched too soon and appeared to have been absorbing the yolk it was only about a nickel size left but would not absorb for some reason I did the cup, Saran the moist paper towel and everything and I should mention it was not the bright yellow color it was like a pale skin light color okay well this morning when I got up it was the craziest thing there was a large yolk exposed coming from the original nickel-sized area and the yolk coming out of it was about twice the size so not sure where it all came from but the yolk Sac that came out is that deep yellow color okay so unfortunately the duckling cut it with it's foot and the yolk has started to drain out I have it wrapped in a clean piece of paper towel and I've been giving it water with some molasses in it but I fear that it will get an infection I'm wondering

1. Could I put vetracin spray on it or iodine?
2. Should I cut off what is there or tie it?
3. Should i give it some antibiotics I have read that that is not very effective but?

I did try to cover the original spot with antibacterial ointment but I don't know what to do now that this secondary sack has emerged and has ruptured I have scoured the internet trying to find out what I can put on it but have not found anything so I'm hoping you guys can help

Please help someone soon!!!!!!!!Thank you!!!

I think I'm going to mix up some chick booster and give it a few drinks of that and try to give it some moistened food

Yes I will download with pictures I have now I didn't mix up some chick booster and some high-quality feed and she's eating that very well she's come very alert and more active but I believe now that the mass is a hernia can anyone please help me with what I should do next should I try to push it back in if so should I cut off the Yoke section before I do also the opening seems to be healing and closing except for the hernia but if it is a hernia I believe it needs to be pushed in any help is very much appreciated thank you

I ended up wiping good with a clean baby oral cleaner which is pretty much gauze on a stick and warm water can I spray with vetericyn and then I applied a good layer of Neosporin without pain reliever this is after the yolk section ruptured and you can see where the masses and then where the yolk mass is I'm going to take another picture right now to show you what it looks like currently

I'm having a very hard time getting a good picture because my camera got wet but the arrow is pointing to what was the yolk sac part that came out of the original protrusion when I just now push slightly on the original bulge it actually was very soft and started to push yoke into the part with the arrow so now I'm wondering if I should just tie it off since the opening connected to her stomach has gotten smaller I also noticed that on the bottom side of the first bulge it's starting to get like a pee greenish colored I do not want this to get distracted and I'm wondering if tying it off would prevent the infection from spreading in but I don't want to tie it off if it's a hernia someone please please please help thank you

I'm so sorry to keep adding more comments but I just wanted to mention that the opening from the stomach to the bulge is only about the size of a pea so will it just close up and then the bulge will just dry up??
