There. New brooder for rapidly growing waterfowl. May install the heater lamp later. Maybe this will last them until they can go outside. Lol

Took my own Call ducknagers out today. I think (am 99.999% sure, and that .001% is denial) that one is a drake. He has a green sheen to his head already, holds his tail fanned out and the tail feathers are a different colour.

The other two have quacked.

Oh, and his bill is a lighter colour than the two girls.

I would say it a drake then.
My Rouen drake didn't start 'quacking' till about 4-6 weeks after my hen did.
And he also got the little bit of green on his head.

He may. He was purchased as a female and technically belongs to my daughter. We might 'trade him in' at the auction next month. Or, I may buy him off her. The smaller of the females is mine anyhow.

In any case, he will have a good home.
