Duckling is weak looking!-please help!!!

I think shaving is better but everyone has their own favorites. What type of waterer are you using? I like pee pads and shaving and some use horse bedding the pellets. Which I tried with my last ducklings when they were around 3 weeks old and I like them too.

Maybe I’ll look into shavings today-and I have two bowls which I watch constantly (the cage is next to my desk where I work) and I refill+clean then 5-6 times daily—I use bowls because I really didn’t like any of the waterers at the store because they really couldn’t submerge their beaks in any of them. I also like being able to clean the bowls more readily.

Sounds good but you can make something like this depending on how many ducklings you have you may need a couple I just changed the bottom when they needed a deeper bowl also on the shaving use the clean coop along with the shaving and make it deep enough that they aren't laying in the poop. If you can make it deep enough you can Scoop out the wet material a couple times a day.

It is important that they be able to dunk their heads, but so is maintaining clean bedding. Could you use a homemade waterer like this- Instead of the bowls.
