Duckling Outside When?

I would call a wildlife rehabilitation centre. It's illegal to keep migratory water fowl.

I already did. They would not take him as he is invasive where I live. The next nearest rehab center euthenizes any Muscovy brought to them, so yeah. It's also illegal to release a Muscovy after it's been captured here. Legally, I can't relocate it either, or bring it back to it's mother (if it were ready or I could find her). I can apparently legally kill it humanely however. That seems counter productive seeing how I saved it and have been nursing it back to health.

Are you any where close to the Muscovy rescue in south Florida?

It's almost an hour and a half away. I'm seriously considering bringing him there. The drive with my car (acting up) and 2 toddlers kind of scares me though. If it were closer, he'd already be there. It might be a little while before the drive is possible, so I'm taking it one day at a time right now.

Well you at least know that is a possibility in the mean time enjoy that little one he/she is adorable. So it's recovering good for the attack with the car?

He's doing great. Pretty much a normal duckling now, though slightly unsteady. I think it got it's head knocked really good. Which is preferable to the spinal injury that was suspected at least. Doesn't seem like any permanent damage was done thankfully.

Thank you for all your help with him, you've been there every step of the way. Thinking about calling him Weeble Wobble. He won't stay knocked down, even from a car.
