Duckling Outside When?

So in winter in the Midwest, when is it safe? The 4 bigger ducklings are already the size of my crested mallard. The Cayugas I know are too little right now.

All feathered? Have you been taking them out during the day to get use to temps? How old?

Yes I take them out and they don’t like me taking them back in. They are a month old.

 

[Miss Lydia]

If they are completely feathered in and you have a safe coop for them and deep bedding they would probably be fine outside now. They need a draft free house.
