Duckling Thread!

Bob, is it about time for you to start hatching ducklings yet? :pop Or do you have to wait out this odd weather?
I'm still trying to figure out my plan. It's still too soon to set eggs, but maybe in a week or so. Still trying to decide If I'm going to take the risk and get 20 jumbo pekins. I have an order for ten that's a year old. The guy is a bit wishy washy about a security deposit, so he makes me a bit nervous. And in order to set duck eggs, the ducks have to give me some. They haven't started laying yet. Everyone else has. so a firm :idunno

I say go for it! If you want and can take care of 20 jumbo pekins then do it :wee I'm excited to see what you get / hatch out this year. :pop

Well I need to focus on the Hollands the most this year. i still have to figure out what to do about turkeys and I'm not going to try ducks or turkeys until I solve my feed problem. I had a good chat with the guy I buy feed from today. Apparently he's been trying to find a source of non-GMO turkey and duck feed and got rather excited when I asked what would he charge me to receive and store it for me.
