It had come to my attention a few days ago that having six ducks in a tiny brooder (
View attachment 1737146 that’s half the size of that brooder in that photo) would not work. So, did some shopping at Walmart and TSC and discovered new possibilities for a brooder. Introducing: the duck-a-brooder!
It is 30 x 36, the bottom can be scooted off for easy cleaning. What the water is sitting on is a container with holes on the top for drainage. Huey (the yellow guy) is peacefully napping. I have a PVC pipe for the stand for the wet bulb. I put on sides of plastic on the sides of the brooder to prevent being strangled(stuck in with the brooder). How do you guys like it? Oh, and, Smokey is 3 weeks old and the 3 others (Olive, Louie, and Daffy) are 2 weeks. Will Huey (hatched today) be okay with them?
