Duckling with bulge on lowers neck

So one of my ducklings that’s about 5 weeks old has started getting a bulge on her neck when she eats or drinks. It does go away with time and doesn’t seem to bother her that much but I want to know if I can stop that from happening or if it may be serious. I’ve tried looking for what it is but I can’t find anything.

yeah I think so it looks like it. When she eats food I can see it go down he throat and it ends up bulges on her right side of her lower neck

As long as it is not constant and pendulous, it is only normal 'storage' of food. One way to limit this gorging is to provide feed ad lib.

Then that's normal. As they eat, the crop expands. I have a pullet that eats y til her crop is like half her size

She doesn’t current have the bulge right now cause I was giving her a break from food. I will post pictures when I can

'Breaks' from food will increase the gorging when food is provided.
