I wouldn't incubate together... The quail will hatch earlier than the duck, and the high humidity during those few days could have adverse affects on your duck. They can never be together, even in the incubator. (as soon as the duck hatches remove him and put him in a different incubator if you can to dry off)
I've tried it, and ended up with 2 dead quail chicks from hour old ducklings being in the same incubator. They trampled them.
Don't raise him by himself. You should have at least 2 ducklings, and if you end up with extra drake(s) do you have a plan for them? Are you keeping the ducklings and do you have proper housing for them as adults? Ducks are very very different from chickens/quail, and cannot be kept with them. They need a pool of water at all times. I love ducks, they're super fun, but a lot of work. Especially as ducklings.
Alright... Thanks so much for the advice! Ya'll are so helpful!

No. The duckling is too big and will make it too damp for the quail

Not to mention the trampling.

I've put ducklings together with ducklings only a week older and had a lot of near misses with getting trampled and smothered. I can't imagine how much worse it would be with something small like quail-lings.

Yikes! I don't want my lil qualings to suffer death by duck feets!

I’ve successfully hatched different species from the same incubator, with different hatch dates even. I definitely wouldn’t worry about the humidity being a problem for the duck egg, at lockdown for the quail. It will only be mid incubation for the duck egg as they take around 28 days, where the quail take 16-18 days. Duck eggs usually do better with higher humidity anyways so I personally wouldn’t feel the few days it’ll be a bit on the high side as an issue.
Housing is completely a different story. I’ve had ducklings that are 2 days old damage a fresh hatched, 12 hour old duckling just because they grow fast and they’re clumsy. They would 100% injure or kill quail, whether or not they mean to. If you want to use the same brooder, you’ll definitely have to divide it and adjust as the duckling grows. Best to find a friend for the duck if it hatches and keep it away from quail. :)
