ducklings pic

I think ducklings look like they are smiling too!! :)

Like the name of the ranch...hahaha.

For some reason we have been hung up on food names. All 4 ducks are Cheese, Quackers....we thought he was a girl b/c he quacked more but nope boy, Chips and Dip are the girls. Chickens we have Gravy the roo, Bisqit, Hashbrown, Toffee and Caramel the hens.
Then my quaker parrot is Blueberry and my hahns macaw is Waffles:)

Yeah, Food names kind of get something started don't they?

We had adopted a Saddlebred mare and when we brought her home he told as she was getting off the horse trailer. He patted her on the neck and said " You'll do just fine here. They'll feed ya and treat ya real good Here On The Gravy Ranch.." And it stuck!!

Ok, I can't remember but at what age do girls start to sound like girls???

When can I put the nasty little cutie pies outside fulltime? Day temps here have been 90's to 100 and right now at 12:12am the thermomter outside says 79.

If you have a very secure place you can put them out in the day time now. You could make them a small pool with bricks for steps so they can climb in and out safely. They should enjoy the grass and water. You will notice they will start feathering out much faster once you get them on the ground. ducks and geese don't get sick with cocci and other nasties like chickens do. They are hearty and thrive on the outdoors in places made just for them.

Make sure you watch them the first day out and they are learning to use the steps. Little ducks get tired very easy and can drown even in a few inches of water.

Miss Prissy is right you take them out in a secure playpen outside and they seem to grow really fast..
Make sure they have shade... They will love the grass. We would sit and watch them in this one...
