Hi all!

I have three Peckin Ducks and one White Chinese Goose. The ducks are almost four months old and Frankie (goose) is nearing two months.

When he was a baby, the ducks picked on him A LOT, so we kept them separated. As he’s gotten older and bigger, we let them socialize more hoping they would acclimate. They’ve gotten better, but the ducks still make it a point to run him out of his pool a few times, chase him, etc. Nothing super harmful but I do feel bad for the guy. He follows them around all day wanting to be their buddy :(

We have a pen which includes their house, which is plenty big and they all seem to love it. This last week, we’ve started keeping them in the pen together to get them to get along. Usually it is okay, but occasionally they will corner him and peck him. Not super aggressive but they definitely aren’t nice and they want their space.

Frankie is beyond his time and very much ready to move outside. Tonight he started jumping out of his inside enclosure, so I know he is ready. I am just concerned about them getting along. Will one of them just have to establish dominance and be done?

I am afraid that they will actually hurt him when he goes out in their house at night. Can I keep the door open so they can come and go?- ive read that can be dangerous as well. I just worry for his safety more than anything, and the ducks as well.

My biggest question is should I just put him out and let them work it out? or could they possibly hurt and even kill him? Thanks in advance
