Ducks are addictive! Stip&Vlek got company

Yes they still cried with the other ones. Maybe they like my Cayuga’s to join.. who are not even thinking about such thing... Those scary little yellow fluffies are loud and they move so fast! It’s like the elephant who’s afraid of the mouse 🐭 😂 so funny

two more pictures of the female Giethoorn duck

Almost 10 days later...

the two call ducks have Grown to 375g and 406g. They are super Fun to watch as they might be the smallest but their attitude is the biggest :) they try to escape and run for the river. But since they are quite small they are not aloud yet. We lost a few pounds trying to catch them before they jump in I think. And they look so proud when they escape 😄

The giethoorn ducks are far more docile. Female is 723g and Mail 806g . Only they are easily scared when I approach them. They stress so much! but when I have them they go to sleep within a meter of me. And are not stressed at all. I can touch their bills stroke their feathers, no problem. The only moment they stress is when someone approaches them. So if anyone has tips ☺️

Stip and Vlerk are still swimming at this moment so I’m not able to weight them too. They enjoy the free range life to the max. A couple of days ago they both weighted around 1500g. They are happy, kind and the sweetest ducks I know. I hope they come back to me soon though as they said a thunderstorm is arriving shortly 😐

Update, they went for their first swim in the big water today (they still are swimming, let’s hope they come back before dark 😅)

Stip and Vlerk, my two big Cayuga‘s don’t like the compag very much and continue to swim away. The four new ones don’t give up! Please, we like to be friends! And swim after them. Quite funny 😀

here are pictures of them and two pictures to show how big stip and Vlerk grew. (My sweetest duckies)

O, and one of my call ducks start quacking. So definitely a girl :) while ventsexing I thought both are girls but you know how easily you can be mistaken)
