I calmed at Elo' s touch, but I still panted the pain was too great. I felt great pain, I couldn't hold it, I felt like I was gonna go nuts. I tensed, my muscles hardened, I pushed and came a small pup, covered in a small sac. I bent over and licked it clean, it whined and whimpered, wiggling about, crawling toward me. I smiled, but more pups were to come... soon 7 pups were born, I was beat, I lay on my side slowly falling asleep. The pups nursed with little whines and whimpers

I watched FairStep with wonder as she instinctively knew what to do. I stayed close to her to offer comfort the best I could. 7 pups, wow they were so small. I just sat there and watched my family in awe. My brother's had come to the cave entrance, when they heard FairStep's distress. But seeing she was birthing, they left her in peace. They did however, howl to celebrate the birth. Leo especially, since she taught him how to howl like a real wolf. As she drifted off to sleep, I licked her softly. Trying to soothe her tired body. She was a sight to behold, she was such a strong female.

I felt weak, as I drifted off to sleep. How could such tiny pups make me so weak and tired. I felt the pups next to me making cute whimpering sounds as they suckled, and the warmth of Elo beside me. I was glad he was there, if he wasn't, I wouldn't of made it this far. I curled around the pups to keep them warm, then finally fell asleep.

I finally woke, probably a few hours later to see the pups sleeping,whimpering in their sleep. I smiled at them, as I looked at them to see we had 4 males and 3small females. They were so adorable, they twitched and whimpered as they slept. They had tiny floppy ears and closed eyes

I smiled at Elo, how sweet. I stood, the pups still lay sleeping and whimpering. I nuzzled Elo, and rubbed his side as I walked along. I made it behind him, and looked back at Elo. Then o came and nuzzled him again, "I love you,Elo" I whispered

I smiled, I nuzzled him again, and went to eat. I ripped open the raccoon and ate happily, I wasn't sure where Leo and Azil were at the moment, but I was just happy I got the birthing done and over with.

I tested my voice a bunch when I heard that FairStep had birthed. I howled in celebration, but I felt I should leave them be, I have heard that new mothers would chase off pack members away from the den. But it was understandable, she was only trying to protect her pups. Many times I have heard pack members kill the new pups, so I don't blame her if she chases us away. The only thing that has had me stuck in my mind was this question that wouldn't go away, I first received it when I had found we had new alpha's. Would I ever find a mate? Of course not, why would I keep thinking that, only alpha's are able to mate. I sighed and trotted to Azil, who was digging a small hole in the earth. "Watchya doin'?" I asked as I stopped next to him.

"Digging." He replied

"Digging for what?" I asked

He shrugged, I guess it was just to keep him occupied
