Hello and welcome to BYC!Hello, I'm a new member and was referred by some posters on reddit.
Construction is going on at a pond near me (Dallas/FW area) and the duck in the picture is likely a dumped domesticated duck (so I was told). He can't fly and I have been bringing him clean water and food for the past three months.
Can anyone advise me on how to find him a home? I am rather new to the area and will soon move to a different state so I can't adopt him myself, although I'd love to.
Thank you!

Hi! Can I trust that he'll be going to a good home if I use Craigslist?Welcome to BYC! Good luck with the rehoming process. I rehomed some drakes recently by putting an add on Craigslist. Pleased to meet you.
There is no guarantee that he will go to a good home that way. Then again he may go to a wonderful home. One other suggestion is to contact your county's 4H club. There are kids who have ducks as projects and may take in another one as a pet.Hi! Can I trust that he'll be going to a good home if I use Craigslist?
I've used CL to rehome multiple cockerels. I ask $5 and when I find someone that wants the boy for their flock, I decline the money.Hi! Can I trust that he'll be going to a good home if I use Craigslist?
There is never a guarantee, however I'd get to know the person inquiring, if possible ask for photos of their facilities. Deliver the bird yourself so you can see the conditions. If you are uncomfortable at any time, you can back out. Go with your gut.Hi! Can I trust that he'll be going to a good home if I use Craigslist?
