Dust Baths

Hiii!

So I want to let my 3 week old chicks have some fun with a dust bath! I've never made one before, so what materials do i need and how do i set it up?

Place a tupperware bowl in the brooder w/ 1 cup fireplace ashes, 1 cup sand, 1 cup really, really fine dust (like from a gravel road or something), 1 cup of diatomaceous earth (from your local feed store). They will love it! And it's good for them! Enjoy...

Well in my brooder i just have some dirt from outside sifted with a screen and they love it, so if you dont have all those things that they said above this is the simplest answer, i put it in two cut up cereal boxes one inside the other with the top cut off so you can adjjust the size as they get bigger.
