Dyeing the chicks

There is a state law in North carlina that prohibits dying chicks, However they made it a blanket law and a lady was actualy jailed for dying her poodle pink for brest cancer awareness. I personally see nothing horriblly wrong with dying chickies with a safe dye. I think the problem was people were dipping their chicks into dye vats with unsafe dye. I would check with your state/ county for laws regarding dying chicks. lots of new laws on the books that are new , so you may not be aware. I do not think it is safe at any point to inject an egg though. If you do it i want to see photos !!!

thats too big use a syringe that measures in units ( thats what we use for ivermectin (1 (one) unit per body weight for my dogs). you can but syringes at walmart pharmacy i dont think it is wise to inject the eggs, but if you are going to do it use a unit measure syringe

Where I live it is not only illegal to dye chicks but also illegal to import them. I do remember getting dyed chicks as a child and I always enjoyed raising them.

There is something like 97% water in food coloring. Then you mix it with the water in the egg. Dyeing the chicks is probably as dangerous as eating the cupcakes pictured on the box.

MSDS makes everything out to be deadly.

i did try it once, but none hatched, i would like to try it again, because i was using a little giant incubator, and i have learned a Ton of info and knowledge about hatching since i tried doing that

I like that! It will defiantly be a top name choice if the little green chick hatches. Lockdown starts Friday, getting really close!!!
