DYI automatic coup door opener

Hi I just installed a 12 v DIY auto coup door with a timer and a photo relay and it seems to work nicely I need to tweak a few things and it should work A1
Here is a video for anyone who is interested. and if you see anything I could do to improve upon let me know.

Very impressive. I like the slow speed that the screw mechanism gives. The wiring would overwhelm me - I don't know if I am supposed to cut the red or white wire as the timer gets down to 0.00! Thanks for sharing the video.

The wireing isnt actually that hard once I had all the right parts ,it is just a bit messy looking since this was my first attempt. The screw gives me just the right speed and if you was to be worried about squishing a chick (unlikely) you could wire an additional limit switch on the bottom of the door so if it hits something it would stop the door.
