Do they look like they are struggling or losing strength? Take a mist water bottle with warm water and mist them. Do they struggle? This is what happened to my last year. I saved 3 chicks from just this but I was positive they were stuck because one had zipped by was stuck to the bottom half of the shell. The other 3 were stuck worse. One had her head stuck. If you do need to intervene use a medical dropper, some q-tips, a set of tweezers and PLEASE... GO SLOWLY AND REMEMBER IT WILL TAKE TIME. it took me hours just to release 1...

Oh look!  Chickies!  I bet that one is a boy.  Boys always seem to manage to hatch first.  Anyway,  the color of that one would indicate EE because a wheaten or blue wheaten chick does not hatch out blue or black, but yellow.

Good. They may of been ok but better safe than sorry. If the membrane was drying they might of had problems but you never know for sure. Was it stuck to them any??

Our first chick just hatched! One of the Olive Eggers. Several more have pipped, so waiting and watching. How long do you leave yours in the incubator? Thanks!

I had to install photobucket. Even then it didn't load all my pictures but the good thing is it loads them to my pc as well.

I am a February 19th hatch date. First timer! Been reading all the great advice on this thread. I had to log into BYC through Safari (not the mobile app) and at the very, very bottom you will see the mobile or desktop buttons. I hit mobile. Then I am able to upload pics (right off my phone) on the forum I choose. I cannot figure out how to upload off the iPhone BYC mobile app.

Out of my 13 eggs, I have 7 chicks and 4 pips. Today is day 21 and I am hoping the 4 that have pipped will be out soon. The other two hadn't pipped so I quickly removed and candled them (didn't impact humidity). There wasn't any movement at candle so I opened them up. Sure enough, there were two fully formed but dead chicks. I will be happy with 11 of 13 though.
