Do they look like they are struggling or losing strength? Take a mist water bottle with warm water and mist them. Do they struggle? This is what happened to my last year. I saved 3 chicks from just this but I was positive they were stuck because one had zipped by was stuck to the bottom half of the shell. The other 3 were stuck worse. One had her head stuck. If you do need to intervene use a medical dropper, some q-tips, a set of tweezers and PLEASE... GO SLOWLY AND REMEMBER IT WILL TAKE TIME. it took me hours just to release 1...
Yes they were both struggling, I used tweezers and a warm wet rag and finished unzipping them and left them in the bottom half one just popped out the other is wiggling their way out
