I am on the west coast and all the beaches have been closed with police patrols to keep idiots out of the water. Too bad we even have to worry about people trying to surf.....

They just reported that the tsunami has passed through Hawaii with minimal impact. Hopefully the west coast of the US will have a very minimal impact as well.

I dont know if there is a thread started abov this but with the tsumami heading the west coast and hawAii be safe i hope it tapers down for you guys chime into byc let us know how you all are doing

Thank you ~ it was a very tense period from the time we woke and heard about the quake until we heard that she was OK.

I am thankful for this. My daughter is not military, but works for a Japanese government program that puts native English speakers into schools throughout Japan to teach language and culture. There are hundreds of other Americans in this program as well as Canadian, British, Australian and and others stationed throughout Japan and in the area that was most affected that we are still concerned about as well as all of the people of Japan.​
