East RIver - South Dakota

What time in June are they due?

I can get the crev's at the local runnings and pay the extra, no problem.

Ill take whatever you get of the egyptians, just let me know.

I guess what Im thinking on the birds is this:

2 of each Silver-Laced,Partridge Cochins
2 Black Langshans
All of the Salmon Faverolles
2 Light Brahmas

Thanks
Steve

Will Do Steve!

I will make sure I check off those as Yours! Will let you know as the order gets close to arriving. By the way, send me a PM of your email & phone number, and I will let you know the morning they arrive. I'm home all day that week, so that my post master can call me in the early AM before he actually opens his doors -- and I pop down to the post office to pick up my birds. Keeps them truly stress reduced as they stay in the Post office AC in a quiet setting and then 15 minutes later are at my house. :D

Will do.

Depending on what day they arrive may determine if I can get there that day or if it may be a day or two later.

If they arrive on a Friday or a Saturday it may be Sunday afternoon before I could come get them.

I didn't even know what a Swedish Flower Hen breed was until I googled it!

I just found some info on the breed at http://greenfirefarms.com/store/category/chickens/swedish-flower-hens/

Where did you get your hens? You mentioned you are looking for a Rooster, so I assumed you already have hens. I was surprised at how recent their arrival was to the US. Amazing some are already in South Dakota when you consider they arrived only in 2010 onto the continent.

Not a problem. The order they are coming in will arrive the week of june 16th. I am called by my poster master, when they arrive at his post office. So all we can do is figure on that week for now. I will have a brooder waiting for the batch so it won't be a problem to hold yours for a few days.

I got some chicks last year from Rock River Exotics. Out of 6 we only got one rooster in a straight run. He died over winter. They are very friendly. A black hen we have thought she was a parrot for the longest time. Favorite roost was on your shoulder. The color variations are great, no two look the same. I had contacted the breeder and they did not have any adults they could part with.

Hello, my name's Kelly. I live on a farm between Sioux Falls and Lennox, and I'm relieved to see so many south dakotans. :) I myself have a fairly fun flock. I have ...
4 red star hens
3 speckled Sussex hens and 1 roo (planning on hatching a bunch this spring)
3 brown Leghorn hens ( had one roo, but these are not cold Hardy birds and he just didn't make it through his second winter.)
4 americauna hens and 1 crossed roo
1sussex red crossed hen and 1 roo
1 buff orpington hen and 1 roo
2 California grey hens and 1 roo ( was told by tsc that they were marans, but these girls lay white eggs)( also planning on breeding some of these)
1 old English bantam hen and 1 roo

And last but not least, my super cute adorable little babies I couldn't resist at auction.....

SERAMAS!

Oh I just love these little birds. I have hatched out some chicks if anyone is interested, but I also was wondering if anyone knew of a place nearby that I could possibly get some of the following...

Barnevelder
Wyandottes

I also have rowen and call ducks, two geese, two rabbits, and three goats!

WELCOME!

Did you get those birds at Kramers Auction?

Been meaning to go there one of these days.

I dont know of anyone who has Barnevelder's but Wyandottes you should be able to get at the feed/farm stores now during their chick days.

Oh, I hope so! I have a friend who really wants some wyandottes. She lives in town and can only have 6 hens (I seriously couldn't do it).
I did get my seramas at Kramer's. They are just darling! Most of my other chickens came from hatcheries, tsc, or I hatched them myself.
