Easter Egger club!

Can this be an EE? Supposedly it's an "Ameraucana" pullet from Ideal. I know their Ameraucanas are really EEs but this one looks like a white leghorn to me! Here is another from same shipment of a similar color. Leg color is different, size, and wing feathering is different. Thoughts?
I don't think so. I think that they are purebred. I just looked at Ideal's Ameraucanas and they have a little notice. 'Our poultry is purebred and represent the breed and variety; however, we do not guarantee or represent that they are show quality.' I copied that from their website.

I saw that too but under the description they call them the "Easter Egg" chicken."

Their entire description:

"Ameraucanas, known as the "Easter Egg Breed", are a multicolored breed. They have beards, muffs and a normal tail with a tail head. They are often incorrectly called Araucanas, which have ear tuffs, are rumpless, and do not have a tail head which gives them a bunny tail appearance. Most of the chicks sold as Araucanas are really Ameraucanas, which are excellent, efficient producers of large eggs of many colors and shades including blue and green.

Standard weights at maturity are males-5 lbs. and hens-4 lbs.

Our poultry is purebred and represent the breed and variety; however, we do not guarantee or represent that they are show quality."

Ameraucanas and EEs can be white, so a yellow chick could be an EE. Does it have a pea comb? I think the EEs sold by hatcheries should have pea combs. Both of mine did.

True Ameraucanas only lay blue eggs. It's possible that your chick has some leghorn in it. I have a Easter Egger hen that came from a friend, who I believe got her from Ideal, I think she is at least 1/4 leghorn, because of her build and yellowish legs.

That is so good to know that you have an EE with something other than slate or green legs! I couldn't find a definitive answer about that. Thanks a bunch!

Yes, since Easter Eggers are not pure bred, they can have any leg color, since a lot of hatcherys cross them with leghorns, and other high producing breeds. I have a few that have yellow legs with a blue tinting to them.
