Hahaha That's a huge nest of beautiful eggs! I hope you test them before tossing any. My best layer quit for a week or two, until I discovered she had just been laying under a bush in my front yard. I pulled 8 green eggs from under the bush and they were all still fresh! I cut the branches away so she didn't have privacy there anymore and she went back to laying in the box! I have a bantam Cochin I swear must be laying under my coop. She's 40 some weeks old and hasn't laid yet. I search under there periodically and nothing! She spends time under there because she's shy, but I'm hoping she's just a lazy moocher and when she does lay it's in the box!My free range girls are hiding their eggs in hard to find places this pick I had to reach for :cd
My little EE girl is hiding in the garage of all places and yes I put the towel in to keep the eggs safe
Ya just never know what them ladys are going to do next it seems I can build all the nesting boxes and the free range chickens will always find their own place to build a nest ... gander007
