There is nothing screaming rooster here yet, but white birds can be hard to sex.View attachment 1020067 View attachment 1020068 View attachment 1020069 Guesses again on this ameraucana? 6 weeks now.
It's still a bit early, but I think you are right, the darker red one does look like it might be a boy. If he is indeed a boy, his coloring should get more patchy over the next few weeks, and he will start getting dark red patches on his shoulders.View attachment 1019827 View attachment 1019830 View attachment 1019832 View attachment 1019833 View attachment 1019827 View attachment 1019830 View attachment 1019832 View attachment 1019833 View attachment 1019827 Hello! These 2 hatched the first week of May, are almost a month old (the buff is from LFS). Any chance the one with the darker red is a boy? ( background story...I have the ultimate rooster, EE, passes the green egg gene, big, beautiful, gentle on the girls, exceptional flock protector...AND...for the past 4 years all of the eggs sired by him have been girls! Problem...he is at least 8 years old, shooting more and more blanks, and I would love to have one of his sons.). I know they are still young, but any thoughts? Thank you! (Sorry about the redundant pics...not sure how I managed that!)
Thank you! The shoulders are redder than any others we have hatched! It's still a bit early, but I think you are right, the darker red one does look like it might be a boy. With that much comb development, probably a cockerel. It's easier to evaluate when you take a photo that shows the whole bird in question.Anybody have any guesses on my gray EE? 4.5 weeks old. I'm thinking roo.

All look like boys to me.7-8 week old Easter eggers - what gender??
I'm pretty sure #3 is a Roo and #2 is a pullet... But I'm stumped on #1. My gut says Roo but I've of course been trying to find any excuse to say it's a pullet. Haha
