Since I didn't see any pictures of a little Roo that looked like mine, I thought I would post one. This is Louie, the EE. I am not sure what is color would be. He has green tail feathers coming in. I am correct saying it is a he right? He is about 11 weeks old. Just over it I think and not at all pleased that he had is picture taken.
so I just got rid of my Production Red because he started to become aggressive with me once the girls started laying and he also was a bit of an aggressive lover with the girls. Now I think 2 out of my 4 Easter Egger "pullets" are boys lol. Can anyone more experienced with EE's confirm or deny please? I'm pretty sure at least one of them is a cockerel because when I was outside today one of the two in question crowed, and we have no other rooster at the moment.
This is B.B. (broken beak - s/he has a bit of an underbite) in the back. The first pic shows his/her comb which is a lot redder then my 2 girls, and the second picture shows his/her color. Both of these pictures were taken yesterday, and they're about 7 and a half weeks old.
This is Lucinda. The first pic (7 and a half weeks old) shows his/her comb which is also a lot redder then my 2 girls, and it looks like he/she's starting to get hackle feathers. The second pic (6 and a half weeks old) shows his/her color and what I think looks like a cockerel stance lol.
Here are pictures of my 2 Easter Egger pullets combs for comparison. They're 7 and a half weeks old, and I'm almost positive that these ones are girls
. Hopefully this can help someone identify the pullets from the cockerels.
Would you mind getting a current sideshot of Lucinda? Her head looks female, and s/he has some of the prettiest tail feathers I've ever seen! Love that red on blue lacing.
As for the others, BB looks like a roo to me with that red on his wings. That last one might be a roo... that comb looks a little wide

s/he is definitely a looker... I really really REALLY didn't want another rooster after my bad experience with the production red meanie, but I might give this one a try... maybe. Ugh I'm not even sure lol.

I agree. He has already starting pecking at me with his gimp beak when I take them food in the morning... he's going in the freezer.
The two in question are already starting to act like little mini roosters. They just kind of stand back and let the girls eat when I take em treats.
Broken Beak is definitely a boy. I think Lucinda's a girl. She may just be lowest in the pecking order, so she's afraid to get too close to the others when they're eating.
