Easter Egger with mohawk

I bought these 3 chicks at a feed store as “Amerancana Bantams” which I assume means they are Easter Eggers. But one has a mowhawk!

They are 4 weeks old. The comb on one of the gray ones looks more pronounced and pinkish, so maybe a cockerel? (The heat lamp is near in the photo casting a reddish light)

My main question is what Is the one with a mohawk? Breed or gender? It just looks so different from the other two. And I thought EE had rose combs so I’m wondering about the gray one with a comb coming in. I have a motley crew here!
The first chick is definitely not a legbar cross. Do you have any updated pictures?

It’s hard to get a good photo when they’re in the “baby pen”. The other bantam is definitely a roo and already crowing. There’s eight chicks in the pen all 7/8 weeks old. 1 roo, 6 pullets and this one! I’m not seeing any aggression from this one. I can see what looks like saddle feathers maybe. But they’re rounded. The tail feathers have looked “frayed” ever since they came in. Tiny v comb coming in. Similar color of pink as pullets the same age. Not red like the roo.

I know crested are hard to sex but still hoping for a pullet. Looks like a gold laced polish so I’m not sure how it ended up in the “bantam Americana” batch.

You’re right about the breed (gold laced polish). I’m leaning towards cockerel on this one.
