Easter Egger?

I adopted this beautiful hen and her owner did not know her breed. I’m fairly new to the chicken world so google searches have guided me to a silver americauna or an Easter egger. However, she looks more Easter egger to me? Opinions? (She should start laying any day so that may give me my answer)

This thread just made me realize that my other FIVE hens that I thought were Amerecaunas (still not sure how to spell) may actually be EE. I had always thought EE was rare- sounds like it is the other way around! Thank you. I’m loving all the education.

They are most likely EE, pure AM(For short) are quite rare in America. Learning here is the best part about BYC!

Post pics? I"m willing to bet that they're EEs. Autocorrect usually takes care of the spelling for me, but the official breed is ameraucana. No problem! BYC is definitely the place to learn things.

Yup! You are not likely to find ameraucanas unless they are from a breeder, and they also tend to be kind of pricey

! had raised 4 ameraucana's around $20 per chick, and unfortunatly they all ended up being roo's they were amazing though, and had great temperament! Super sweet!

Pure Ameraucana are very rare and expensive.

It's a great thread. Very helpful one, I'm glad you made it. Might want to make the original post in it an article.

Seeing how their combs are not true pea combs I’m guessing EE. (They obviously did not want to be photographed today )
