While you may have noticed birds with that trait have been flighty, it's a case of correlation rather than causation. Maybe birds you have encountered do show this trait, but leg color isn't indicative of anything other than skin color of the rest of the bird

Yeah thats true , I did see something that explained that chickens that retain their flying ability are consider to be genetically closer the the original chicken ancestor ( the jungle fowl). Although I didn’t look very deep into this study , so I am not very sure.

I got a gorgeous little Easter egger yesterday and’s just noticed she has 5 toes on each foot. Is that normal for an Easter egger??

Could be a favaucana (aka green queen), which is a faverolles x Easter egger mix.
