Welcome from another BYC newbie to redheadyork, palchick, and marans! I will be moving to just outside of Walla Walla this fall, so pretty close to some of you!
I currenty have 5 eggs in incubation, due to hatch tomorrow. My first incubation attempt, and all of the eggs were pretty badly scrambled in the mail, so wish me luck!!!

Thanks for the interest guys! My DH just doesn't understand my excitement . I am right in the middle of hatching. Have 2 little ones, and one egg is chirping, so hopefully will pip soon! Unfortunately the last 2 didn't show any signs of life when I candled quickly, but I will give them some more time just in case. Cream Legbars can be sexed at hatch, and so far I have 2 boys. Sigh! I hope I end up with at least a pair!
Here is Chicky, our wild female turkey that comes and hangs out with my chickens every spring. This will be her second season visiting us. We call her in with our turkey call and she even tried to follow Elmer into the house last year. We have seen her roosting on our deck roof and even snoozing on the deck rail.
Here is Cowboy, our 3 yr old AQHA keeping a watchful eye on our black lab, Whitney thru the panels. Freckles, our 18yr old AQHA mare is standing next to him. Both are Colonel Freckles bred horses.
Here is a good shot of Freckles, our 18yr old AQHA mare. When we got her a couple months ago, she was about 200lbs ocer weight. This picture was taken yesterday and as you can see, she has slimmed down nicely
Another picture of Chucky, our wild turkey "grazing" with the chickens

Whiski, I love your pics! I got a turkey this year and I am disappointed to find how friendly she is! She has even perched on my lap. Ugh, it will be hard to eat Butterball
My fatties are overdue to be processed as im having trouble locating a large pot (cheap) to scorch them prior to plucking. This will be my first time and am nervous about it. Fortunately, those guys are not nice and are kinda repulsive!!!
We had two babies hatch so far!!! Unfortunately, one clutch might be done since mom had to leave the nest to cover the first baby because it ran outside. I am disgusted as I wasn't checking them much that day as I thought it would be two more days until they hatch. The second clutch I am hopeful will do well! First one hatched today from that clutch. They will be cute tiny birds,!
