Glad you found us! Now that good weather has settled in, it's pretty quiet around here, but most of us check in at least a couple times a week. So have you been on the other WA. thread? I used to be on that one, but the lightning speed at which it moves was so frustrating! Anyway, welcome aboard! Things will liven up when Fall rains start.

Ya, it was going to fast, and no one lives in eastern WA, so I got on here when someone recommended it.

What do you mean, "no one lives in eastern WA."? lol. I always think since it's raining on the other side, they spend their days on the computer. I live on the eastern slopes of the Cascades, so where our winters aren't terribly cold, they are very long, so we only have about seven months to get a years' worth of outdoor work done. What's the typical low winter temp. there in Walla Walla?
Anyway, glad to have you here! I think there's quite a few here from the S.E. corner.

It usually gets about 10F at the coldest, and occasionally goes a little below that. It has never hit 0F in my lifetime!

And it looks like you live right about smack middle of the Washington state Or did I not look at the map right...

I'm a bit west of Ellensburg, which is considered to be in the middle, but you read the map pretty close. There's a lot of marine influence here, so we don't get the sweltering heat like they do, but since we're east of Snoqualmie pass, it's still much drier than Seattle. I've really learned to love it here, mostly because of the summer, but I've grown to appreciate the snow too. Makes for a plentiful water supply.

Welcome Clickerchick! We are building a home just outside of Dixie, and will be moving there this fall...I do most of my shopping, etc. In WW when we are there on our farm (almost every weekend). I am excited there is someone so close!

ok so my Boo is now a handsome king of my friend's flock... I can't have roosters in town... he is settling into his role very well, and has 13 ladies all to himself! Happy Boo! And I now have a new little 3 weeks old Black Australorp chick my girls are getting used to... just 24 hours into it but the little one is holding her own! I think it will be ok... she is getting a few pecks now and then, and is learning the ropes of her new waterer... bless her little heart!
