EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

that video things.... #2 was freaking sad.

the one with the cops, the guy was resisting arrest, and while it looked brutal, he kept pushing back and away from them and wouldn't do what they asked. even from the video clip, I could see his hands come up and him move towards the black cop, which is why he defended himself. Once he was on the ground, he wouldn't put his hands behind his back. They used the force needed, to arrest him. While it looks freaking brutal, I'm guessing he's not as beat up as it looked. They were just trying to get him subdued. It's not pretty when someone won't cooperate. :(
I think I saw the one about the stroller before and it had a happy ending.

IMHO, the guy was minding his own business before the confrontation and we don't hear the audio so we don't know what was said.

...
8 were the last in line when God divided the intellect.

I,think one of my ayam cemani chicks is sick.it has been keeping it's head tucked down, and not moving.
That's not good. I never get sick chicks after they hatch in a healthy manner. Big fresh air, a warm and a cool spot, lots of space, clean conditions, fresh water all day (with probiotics) and fresh complete starter feed. One will always have healthy chicks in those conditions.

No, we don't know what was said - but I could see the black cop motion more than once for him to stand up and comply. We also don't know what was in the bag... but no matter what, resisting and refusing to cooperate, even if the cops are in the wrong, is going to result in bad things happening. It's always in your best interest to comply, even if you think they are stupid.

Percentage-wise, most cops are good people, but there's always a few bad eggs, and some are jaded and just assume everyone is up to no-good, although I do find it interesting that the black cop is the one who used enough force that the white cop was trying to stop him by grabbing his arm once the guy was on the ground. Apparently he thought the other cop was being too rough, too (I re-watched it.) With out hearing audio, and seeing it from another POV, it would be hard to say if it was excessive force, or not.

I, had them in a big toat box in my room for two weeks now. It started acting like this about 4 days ago.
how warm is it? is your window open? what does its poop look like??

A TOTE (take not of the spelling) is not enough space for chicks that age. Not enough fresh air, space or the ability to have the option of a warm spot or a cool spot.
it can work for a little while if adequate ventilation is used

I use water trough thingies for mine. MY silkies are in a long, skinny metal one, and my 4 cochins are in a big black one.

I'll need to move my silkies to the second black brooder I've got eventually... but they haven't hopped out yet. Once they can fly, I'll move them.

The bag was examined and set aside.
I never resist nor disrespect. That's just stupid.
I found that interesting too.
True.

I admire most police and respect them for being able to do a job I know I couldn't do.
I've just personally witnessed enough brutality, excessive force and racism where I live that I know it is reality.

You're sharp as a tack.
Typos happen to the best of us. In some cases, they aren't typos.
