Okay, so I have a question.... May be I'm overthinking this entirely and I should just get some sleep and stop thinking, but hey...

So water with any impurities freezes at lower than 0/32 degrees, right? Well, I'm calibrating my thermometers in a mostly-ice solution and all five thermometers are reading -1.1/30 after 5 min. May this test be slighty inaccurate that way? I'm using well water, so it's far from pure....

Should I keep trying to get a reading of 0/32, or say they all agree and that's good 'nuff?

We've seen lots of deer, but none we wanted to shoot. Mostly just yearlings. Season's not over yet; there's still hope.

Bill saw a couple buttons & spikes. His dads friend got a beautiful 8 point on their property. I don't like the meat but its a great hobby for Bill-like my chickens. Just wish he had more time. he hasnt been feeling well either and has an apt on friday. Hoping its not a Crohns flare up.....

Do you know much about Cavalier King Charles spaniels?

Before I was married I promised myself I would get one at some point (along with a peacock - and I did that part). We have always had mutts which have been great, but I do wonder about a CKC.
The other breed that sounds interesting is the labradoodle - though they may not be a true "breed".
