EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Could you please, Kind Sir, describe "chilly" with a number off the Fahrenheit scale that most describes the "chilly" this morning term?

Gladly

Okay duck folks, I haven't hatched ducks before and I Need to! So, which breeds are the most interesting/colorful? It's so fun to hatch in variety. I know it sounds petty. But still, it's so fun... my Christmas.

I have ducks because i'm allergic to chicken eggs, and can eat duck eggs.... so I have the layer ducks. lol

For my "fun" set of birds, I have a pair of Sebastopol geese.

I remember the stories about Paul Bunyan. I have a lot of family that still lives in St Paul. The first winter I wouldn't know what to do when I got snowed in--

Being snowed in is actually relaxing. It is a forced vacation by Mother Nature. Everything comes to a standstill, even the chooks! Watching snow fall is relaxing in and of itself.

The key is having decent equipment to move the snow after the storm ends.

It's *always* the ones we like the best. :( Why does nature do it that way?

Murphy's law has away of striking bird owners thrice as hard as the rest of the world....

When I find a dead bird, I know before I get close it will be one I really wanted for breeding or show.
