I also hatched these 3 cuties!!! Anyone know if they are pullets? I'm hoping they all are.

I need volunteers to come lug large stones for me to cover the run perimeter with....

Someone?

Anyone?

No?

Guess I better get going again... Sigh.
If they're all that big, roll them onto a skid, or one of those roll-up plastic sleds (skid would be better), & pull them to the side of the run with the mower.

Huh, one of my chickens was dead in my yard by my front door. She had no obvious injuries, and no one was out there that could have done it. None of the other birds were acting like something was in the yard that didn't belong. She wasn't bloody and no marks on her. I suppose it's possible a barn cat pounced on her and broke her neck, but she was darn near fullsized. It doesn't make sense they'd go after a fullsize chicken.

They're not far from the run, thankfully, so I'm using the wheelbarrow. Just not much fun to do in black fly season.

Sorry :hugs

This boy is about 31 weeks old. Should I be concerned that he has no comb or waddles? He is also the most awkward think I have ever seen. He stumbles over his own feet but he is the most gentle chicken I have ever had too.
Welcome. He looks awful pale, have they been wormed or checked for mites recently? He's sure handsome though. :frow

I had a boy that had similar problems... He died of heart issues, I think.

Hi everybody. Rough day today-sleep and pain. so much to do but can't. Bill got both coops cleaned, the garage cleaned and organized and now the basemen cleaned-with a week  He is awesome :hugs@Pensmaster & @Fire Ant Farm I got some naked necks. Just hatchery stock (I saw Snape and Puppy and fell in love :love) Got them and a couple other breeds from Strombergs and I have to say I was very happy with them. Sent 5 extra chicks and they are all extremely healthy. :celebrate Want to do stuff but its not gonna happen. They did say Sunday is the day of rest right? @daxigait & @kajira sorry for your losses :hit& @duluthralphie I can completely agree-its always the "good bird" hat seems to kick the bucket with no explanation :he. Hope everyone else is well. :hugs
