Sometimes DARK green. DARK. Sometimes just a nice green w/out the dark hue. I've witnessed her laying each, and I'll get 2 or 3 of each every week. She has me confused regarding all that is said about egg color not changing, because this isn't like early in the cycle vs. late...it's like Tuesday vs. Friday!
How strange. The little BLR splash look-a-like is getting the same kind/color of wing feathering that the BLR splash Wyandotte chicks from the spring had too. So I'm thinking it is either BLR or like yours a gold laced blue. Either way it's going to be a pretty one! I hope it's a pullet, I'm very tempted to keep it!
Interesting enough, the three pure yellow chicks have yellow legs, not green or slate like most EEs.
I have one chick that is mostly yellow with a cape of pale grey, very pretty looking, maybe a blue splash? I've never had blues before so I don't know what they look like exactly. One of the chicks has got to be a blue though, he/she is mostly dark grey.
It's so cool the variety in these guys. One of the chipmunks is growing a lot faster than the others too. A cute little fatty
Those yellow legs will turn green. They turn a bit more willow green than the green that is like a slate or blue mixed with yellow- it's very pretty and the pads of the feet are almost chartreuse!
I'm wondering if the little fatty isn't going to be a roo?
