Egg bound pullet?

Green poop is usually due to bile because there is not enough food going through their system. It is not a good sign.
Azygous recommends offering them chunks of solid coconut oil to eat or swiping small of it into their beak for them to swallow,if they won't voluntarily eat it. Yes 10 -15 mins can seem like a long time but it can be quite relaxing for them and you to wrap them in a towel and sit down with them under your arm and gently massage whilst you are watching the TV together.... obviously not a horror programme though

If you aren't sure you have an impacted crop you're dealing with, it wouldn't hurt to go ahead and dose with coconut oil first as a precaution. You can use olive oil or mineral oil, but coconut oil is 100 times easier because it's solid below 70F and you don't need to use a syringe to get it into the beak. Just break off small bits and slip them into the beak. Some chickens will happily eat it if you just offer it to them, but you need to get about two teaspoons down to begin with.

Then massage for at least ten minutes. You may feel the content break up and disappear. If you can get the crop to empty, that's all the oil and massage you need.

Then next step is to treat the sour crop with Nystatin or miconazole. The dose is about a half inch of cream or about a quarter inch of a suppository. Twice a day for seven days. Do not be tempted to limit the dose or to quit before a full week.

Well some coconut oil on a popsicle stick and about 5 minutes in and she was done. Hoped off and right back into the dog crate. Picked her up and 10 seconds more she was down... I’ll give her a few and try again. More coconut oil and more massage. She almost sounds like she is purring!

It’s sad news, but she did not make the night. We where not attached but always sad when a part of the flock passes. The rest seam good and all out and being chickens this morning! On the bright side only about 30 days till more chicks arrive...
