Egg candler suggestions?

We have a brinsea ovascope.. We never use the "scope" .. Just the view.. With the rubber fitting and super bright light you can see very well and we are very happy with it.. And because its not a flashlight, it wont get lost being used for other things or by kids.. It is what it is and works as advertised

In the summer over 60 degrees, I do it after they have grown all their base feathers in. When its cold, I wait until atleast 12 weeks. Its more of a preference rather than factual based.

well its cold where we are so was thinking around 8/10 weeks

There are no lights brighter than some commercial use flashlights. Candling lights are expensive and single purpose tools. There is nothing on the market brighter than my flashlight, its cheaper, and its a multipurpose tool. There is no excuse for paying a lot of money for a lense and some plastic. Because we all know there isn't any technology that's worth money in miniature incandescent light bulbs or led's.

I have plenty of flashlights.. Big and small.. They work great as flashlights.. But none of them work as well for candling as a candler.. Sure you can get a nice flashlight for the same price as an brinsea candler.. Yea a flashlight is multi use.. If you need another flashlight in your day then by all means, use a flashlight.. I like to be able to turn it on, set an egg on it and then look at it.. I dont like holding my hand around it and a flashlight.. Call me a crazy spender, but $30 didmt break tthe bank and i really do like my brinsea candler.. Guess the girls will just have to pump out another few dozen eggs to pay for it
