Egg color?

My hen that I hatched out last summer just laid this egg. She is a cross between my barnevelder hen and my Easter Egger rooster. Has anyone seen disoriented speckling like this? And will she continue to lay eggs like this? love how cool it looks and am hoping it does.

That sure is different. Pigmentation may even out as she gets further into her laying cycle or, hopefully, that coloring will remain the same.

If I got an egg like that I would tap holes in each end, scramble the yolk with a wooden skewer and blow out the contents, then add the shell to my collection of unusual eggs (shells).

In the thumbnail sized images I almost thought you were holding a perfectly oval potato!

I've had a couple olive eggers that laid something like that, tho not as extreme.
