Egg Honest Box... Yes or No?

I think it would depend on where you live, if it's a small rural town where you trust your neighbors than I would say go for it. With that said, I'm a private person and would not like for people to come in and out of my area of residency just because of safety issues involved (perhaps I'm just a paranoid person)...... whatever the case may be, if it's something you already want to try then you should give it a go for a couple of weeks and and see if it works out and that people aren't stealing. It's something fun too, I suppose, and a bit of change in the pocket.

I live on the edge of town in a rural neighborhood, so it's pretty quiet. All of the neighbors pretty much keep to themselves. I've had some neighbors come to my door randomly though, which is inconvenient. Something about chickens in the front yard makes people want to stop by lol.

We have produce stands here like that , but honestly I wouldn’t buy eggs from a stand not knowing how long they’ve sat in the sun and rain would ruin the cartons ,

I sold a lot more eggs after buying an “ egg fridge” then when they sat on the counter , no matter what I told people or even put up a sign they want their eggs in the fridge where they belong

It's hard to get over eggs being on the counter and not in the fridge lol. Sometimes I'm still paranoid about it. And what did you end up using as an egg fridge?

Thank you all for the well wishes! I have been thinking of how to implement a small mini fridge or a little ice chest. Something to keep them out of the 100 degree temps.

We bought a mini fridge ...but we are looking into a real fridge as the mini holds only 12 dozen ,

In 100 degree weather I don’t know how happy you’d be running a fridge , I’ll share my idea since I’m a busy business owner too . We’re going to make an “ egg day” only on Saturdays we’ll sell eggs , that way I’m not busy 7 days a week making $3 sales ,

That's an awesome idea! I'll probably end up going the mini fridge way and checking it throughout the day. My hubby loves the call and we'll deliver approach, but I'm just not crazy about loading up kids and eggs and driving all around. I'm also not too crazy about people knocking at all hours with a newborn trying to sleep. I've even had some people go in my backyard with the chickens
